Sustainability in the private sector of the Dominican Republic has gained growing recognition in recent years and is central to financing for national sustainable development priorities. This Catalogue of Promising Practices presents 22 new initiatives that demonstrate commitment to a more resilient, sustainable, inclusive, and gender-equal Dominican Republic through business models, corporate social responsibility and among micro and small enterprises (MSEs).

These initiatives are distinguished by their commitment to generating positive social, environmental, and economic outcomes and were identified through a rigorous selection process that considered their strategies, management, transparency, and governance. The initiatives demonstrate a comprehensive approach that not only seeks financial success but also prioritizes the strengthening of human resource capacities and economic investment aimed at human development and shared prosperity. They are living examples of how the private sector can be a powerful driver of social and environmental progress.

The lessons learned from these promising practices aim to inspire and showcase approaches for greater sustainability across the wider private sector in the Dominican Republic.
