Indonesia launched its INFF assessment and roadmap in 2022 to optimise, further align and enhance the allocation of diverse public and private financing resources towards national sustainable development priorities and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The first two years of implementation focused on laying the foundations and scaling innovative finance instruments in sustainable capital markets, faith-based mechanisms, impact investment and the blue economy. This case study reviews the significant progress to date, focusing on four key areas: deepening thematic bond markets, accelerating blue finance, promoting faith-based financing, and establishing a genuine impact investing ecosystem and a monitoring dashboard. The case study also presents recommendations for Indonesia's INFF as it progresses and develops in the future.
