UNDP Africa Finance Sector Hub collaborated with UNDESA, UNITAR, UNECA in organizing the INFF regional training event from August 24 to 26. High-level country representatives from Gabon, Tanzania, Ghana, Nigeria, Uganda, Malawi, Sierra Leone, and Cabo Verde shared their experience and good practices on the implementation of INFF in their own countries at both national and local levels. The event attracted 685 participants from 62 countries across the globe. This included participants from governments, development cooperation agencies, private sector, universities/think tanks, CSO and UN entities.
Tadele Ferede Agaje, from the Macroeconomics and Governance Division of the Economic Commission for Africa, opened the event by providing an introduction to the Integrated Planning and Reporting Toolkit (IPRT). The IPRT is a web application sponsored by UNECA and developed in response to the needs of African countries to simultaneously adopt and integrated by the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Agenda 2063 into their national development and enable them to report their progress in a harmonised way.
