Background
Integrated National Financing Frameworks (INFFs), introduced in the 2015 Addis Ababa Action Agenda, help countries align public and private finance with national sustainable development goals. Today, over 85 countries are using the INFF approach to build more inclusive, resilient financing systems.
Over 50 countries have advanced policy reforms through their INFFs—embedding sustainable development in budgets, markets, and investments. Early analysis shows $16 billion in new finance mobilized and up to $32 billion in existing finance better aligned to the SDGs.
The INFF Facility, launched in 2022, has supported governments with technical guidance, partnerships, and knowledge exchange. With a renewed mandate in the FfD4 Outcome, the Facility is scaling up to meet growing demand and help countries deliver on their financing commitments.
