Country Leadership at the Core of the Global Financing Agenda
As global momentum builds following the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4) in Sevilla, the G20 Development Working Group (DWG) hosts a high-level side event to reflect on progress and explore how Integrated National Financing Frameworks (INFFs) are advancing country-led sustainable finance reform.
Co-organized by UNDP and G20 Development Working Group(DWG) under South Africa’s G20 presidency, the event will showcase concrete examples of how countries are using INFFs to mobilize and align resources with national development goals. The session builds on FfD4’s outcome, the Compromiso de Sevilla, which reaffirmed INFFs as central tools for financing the SDGs, strengthening domestic public finance systems, and enhancing international development cooperation.
Event Objectives
- Reflect on the outcomes of FfD4, including the launch of the Sevilla Platform for Action.
- Share country experiences using INFFs to drive financing reforms, particularly around domestic resource mobilization, governance, and climate action.
- Discuss the role of the G20 and development partners in scaling and institutionalizing INFFs in the lead-up to COP30.
