Ms Javkhlan Ivanov, Chief Operating Officer of the Mongolian Stock Exchange highlighted the Exchange's pivotal role in promoting responsible investment and sustainable development with its roster of over 200 listed companies. Notably, the Exchange, leveraging Mongolia’s INFF approach, serves as a conduit between listed companies, investors, and regulators.

Engagement with the country’s INFF process has helped advance important developments including the introduction of sustainability reporting guidance, enabling companies to issue disclosures in harmony with global sustainability norms. While this marks an important step forward, challenges remain in the path to ingraining sustainability in Mongolian firms. For the future, Ivanov underlined a set of ambitious goals: a marked increase in sustainability practices, boosting the number of companies presenting sustainability reports, establishing gender-responsive financial systems, and unveiling an ESG index to recognize leading entities in sustainability.
